慖n Our Own Words� is a collection of reflections of the past two years, charting the challenges but also the incredible moments, memories and mighty people from across Whittington Health who extended themselves and achieved so much. Actors from Wake the Beast have performed these stories to staff in care homes, community centres, meeting rooms and hospital wards over 7 sites over the past two years.

 

They now invite colleagues from across Whittington Health and their friends and families to join them online for a free performance of these stories in an uplifting and forward-looking reflection, illuminating the real people behind the 慼eroes� narrative.

 

Wake The Beast Theatre company and The Whittington抯 Clinical Health psychology team worked with staff from early May 2020, conducted interviews from over 200 staff, collected over 140 hours of audio and presented 5 theatre pieces to Care Home staff, B.A.M.E staff, community and hospital staff from June 2020 until December 2021.

 

This 慖n Our Own Words� performance is a chance for us to say thank you to the 200+ staff who agreed to be interviewed about their experiences of the pandemic. It抯 also a chance for family, friends of staff and the public to witness for the first time the inspiring stories from 慴ehind the scenes� here at Whittington Health and everyone is invited to join online or in person.
